About Involvement
Most Global Health students learn and gain experience outside the classroom, and we encourage and support this extracurricular involvement as part of your Wisconsin Experience. Whether you do research, join a student organization, attend campus events, take an internship or volunteer, augmenting your classroom learning with real-world “hands-on” experiences is a great way to learn more about your future career path and build your resume.
As you consider the ways on which you want to get involved alongside your academics we encourage a balanced approach of quality over quantity. Students often get more out of being deeply involved in a few pursuits rather than being spread thin across too many commitments.
